Love Your Children… Always

VBS has been going well this week. We wrap up with our closing program tonight (yay!). I am excited to finish up and take a break.

Next up…

I still have a lot of planning to do for our next year of home schooling. Procrastination at it’s finest! (Haha!)

Until then…

I have been watching my kids closely for the past 2 weeks. Like actually watching and observing. The reward? The satisfaction of knowing that they love me. I never doubted it, but when I’ve felt like I’ve been so busy with prepping for VBS this week and being pregnant, I was worried that they would be upset and mad at me for not spending time with them.

Luckily, I’ve been trying to spend as much time as I can with them and it’s paying off. I feel much less stressed and they seem happier and better behaved when they get quality time with me.

And the Thunder Rolls…

It’s now pouring down rain and I get some quality cuddle time with my little boys since neither of them care for storms.

Spend time with your children. Don’t be distracted with mundane things like technology or work. In the end, where will those things get you? You are responsible for shaping the lives of your children. Teach them there is so much more to life than technology and a job.

Until next time, friends, love your children… always.

I appreciate this post and the gentle reminder to spend quality time, making sure my children feel loved by me. I am also a homeschooling mom, and it can be easy to fall into the trap of assuming that I am already doing this since they are with me all the time! But that is not necessarily so, as you point out. Thanks for sharing!
